Two Troy police officers and a suspect were shot Saturday night
in eastern New York state.
The officers
were approaching a carjacking suspect when the suspect opened fire, CNN affiliate TWC News Albany reported.
One officer was
struck in the torso; the other was struck in the leg. Both are expected to
survive,CNN affiliate WRGB said.
The officers
managed to return fire and fatally wounded the suspect, WRGB said.
Troy, population
50,000, is just north of the New York state capital of Albany.
